EXECUTIVE OFFICE SEARCH:
The AMCHAM Executive Office manages the many responsibilities and activities of the Chamber, including handling business-related inquiries from its members and U.S.-based companies interested in doing business in Malaysia. It also helps to facilitate policy recommendations and dialogues between its members and the Malaysian and U.S. governments. In addition, the Executive Office is responsible for organizing all AMCHAM related briefings, meetings, networking functions, and other events.

Valerie Lynn-McDonough, Executive Director
As Executive Director of AMCHAM, Valerie’s responsibilities encompass overseeing AMCHAM's government affairs initiative, public and press relations, event management and the management of the Executive Office team. Valerie represents AMCHAM in meetings and dialogues with the U.S. and Malaysian governments, and is responsible for building closer relationships with relevant organizations and officials in the public and private sectors. Valerie also acts as the liaison between AMCHAM’s members and the Chamber’s Board of Governors. Valerie is a U.S. citizen, with more than 13 years of international private and public sector experience.

Barbara Devaraj, Young Enterprise Program Manager
Barbara plans, coordinates, and administers the Young Enterprise (YE) Program, and liaises with corporate sponsors, teachers, and students in support of this initiative. She is also responsible for developing advertising support for AMCHAM’s publications.

Shamini Suntharajah, Membership Manager
Shamini manages membership services for AMCHAM, including new member recruitment, servicing existing members, and acting as the staff liaison to the Chamber’s Membership Committee. She also maintains AMCHAM’s membership database and providing general services to new and existing members.

Shiu Sook Sun, Accounts & Admin Executive
As AMCHAM’s Accounts and Admin Executive, Sook Sun provides support to the Finance & Administrative Manager and the Events & Programs Manager. She handles basic accounting and general administration duties for the Chamber.

The Kun Ann, Government Affairs Executive
Ann works with the Executive Director, Committee Chairman as well as the Government Affairs Manager to support and serve the needs of the industry committees, with special attention given to Information Communications Technology (ICT) Committee and Malaysian American Electronics Industry (MAEI). She also acts as the support staff to assist the Chamber in its involvements in the U.S-Malaysia Free Trade Agreement.

Yap Teck Seng, Government Affairs Manager
Teck Seng manages and organizes liaison activities between AMCHAM and various government bodies as well as industry representatives to support and serve the needs of the American business community in Malaysia. He manages the Chamber's industry committees and provides a platform to discuss key issues impacting AMCHAM's members. He also formulates strategies to facilitate effective communication and enhanced business-trade relationships between AMCHAM and its external stakeholders, particularly the U.S. and Malaysian governments, U.S. Embassy, other sister-AMCHAMs and related associations. Teck Seng has 5 years of experience in business-to-business research, specializing in manufacturing-based industries that range from electronics, iron & steel, rubber products to furniture, textiles & apparel and oil & gas industries.

Yvonne Miranda, Events & Programs Manager
Yvonne plans and organizes AMCHAM’s numerous monthly events and briefings. These include breakfasts and lunches with senior business and government speakers, networking cocktails with other international chambers, golf tournaments, and special roundtables with VIPs from Washington, DC. Yvonne liaises with the U.S. government on developing specialized Chamber briefings and other events for visitors from Washington, DC, including Congressmen, Senators, and Administration officials. She also liaises with the American Association of Malaysia (AAM) on developing social and other American community events under the AMevents series.

Dato' Tang Hon Yin, Administrator, Young Enterprise Program (Northern Region)
Dato’ Tang Hon Yin coordinates all activities of the Young Enterprise Program in the Northern Region, and serves as liaison to Northern Region YE sponsors, teachers, and students.
