JA - FedEX/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge

Who Should Attend: Open to all students in the program

Workshop Objective: To broaden students’ understanding of global trade and to participate in an array of stimulating activities to enhance their knowledge of product distribution, competition, pricing, promotion and sales.  The ITC is a competition on Market Entry Strategy.  To prepare for the Market Entry Strategy, students are required to research and synthesize detailed information related to a specific country to gain a greater understanding of international trade.

Workshop Objective: Introducing students to the workings of the stock market, the effects of news reports and rumors on the market, risks that investments in stocks can pose, the importance of information, and how interpretation and biases can affect the decision-making process.

Program Objective: The purpose of this event is to provide a safe commercial environment in which the students can test their skills in promoting and selling their products.  It also challenges the students to plan and manufacture goods for the one day event and to accept the consequences of success or failure for their collective decision making.

Workshop Objective: Aimed at helping achievers to understand the importance as well as proper procedure to draw-up their final accounts and reports.

Inter School Audit Sessions (students)

Who Should Attend: Finance Director or the assistant, Company Secretary, Auditor – if there is no auditor then the Managing Director

Session Objective: The YE Companies will meet at a central location to audit each other accounts.  A simple qualifying report from the person who conducted the audit is required.
