Objective

MARI works closely with the Government of Malaysia on issues concerning the renewable energy industry, supports the creation of a renewable energy economic cluster, and accelerates the growth and expansion of the renewable energy industry in Malaysia. With over cumulative investments of RM7 billion from 3 member companies, deploying highly advanced manufacturing technology on ground; this committee actively promotes the potential for Malaysia as an ideal destination for an ASEAN regional solar hub.

In 2011, the MARI Committee is engaging significantly closer with various ministries at a higher level to promote the opportunities of Solar industry eco-system in Malaysia. Given the rapid movement of the Solar industry climate, the committee is enhancing its information outreach to policy makers and to propel Malaysia to be the Solar industry hub in this region.
