Seminar: Spearheading Outsourcing Opportunities in High Tech Industries
Business Networking (B2B) Session
19 & 20 June 2012
InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
MIDA will be organizing a seminar on outsourcing opportunities which is scheduled to be held on 19 & 20 June 2012 at InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. This will be the third such seminar following those in 2009 (Kuala Lumpur) and 2010 (Johor). In conjunction with the seminar, a business networking (B2B) session will also be organized.
The objectives of the seminar and B2B session are to:
- Provide the latest update on government policies, incentives, facilities and support services available to the business community in Malaysia
- Highlight business opportunities in outsourcing activities
- Facilitate business collaboration between local vendors and MNCs
- Provide a forum for the business community to network with key government agencies
In 2010, 19 multinational companies (MNCs) from the machinery & equipment, oil & gas, aerospace, medical devices, photovoltaic and electronics industries attended the seminar and participated in the B2B session. A total of 309 business meetings were held between the MNCs and 200 local vendors in various sectors. Through the one-to-one business meetings held, many Malaysian vendors have successfully connected with these MNCs for outsourcing opportunities. We believe that the event is a good opportunity for you to update yourself on the latest technology and the development in outsourcing opportunities for the high tech industries.
For your information, for B2B session this year, we have identified a number of MNCs in the machinery & equipment, oil & gas, aerospace, medical devices, and alternative & renewable energy industries. These MNCs are looking to outsource their requirements to potential vendors. We believe that this programme is a good opportunity for the local vendors to develop new business collaborations with the MNCs for their outsourcing requirements.
