Prime Minister’s CSR Awards 2011 For GE Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, 2 November 2012 – General Electric Malaysia (GE) emerged as the overall winner of the Prime Minister’s CSR Award 2011 and also bagged two other awards – best Workplace Practices and Empowerment of Women. GE triumphed over 57 other companies and took home three out of the nine awards. The awards were presented by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that CSR programmes play an important role in changing the nation’s socio-economic structure and in turn, guarantee a corporate body’s ability to be in business for a long time.
