Had His Second Moment in Time at Glittering Stars of KL Hotels Awards 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 March 2012: Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur proudly announces that from 27 finalists at the Glittering Stars of Kuala Lumpur Hotels Awards 2011 gala dinner held at Royale Chulan Hotel, Mr. Jamian Saiman was awarded the Departmental Star Award, Outstanding Star Employee in Support Services for the second consecutive year.
Jamian received a trophy, certificate and cash prize of RM1000, courtesy of award sponsor UbiQ Global Solutions Sdn Bhd. Jamian joined Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur as Security Supervisor in 2009. Having vast experience in safety & security in the hotel industry, he also displayed great passion and initiative.
“Jamian always strives for the best when carrying out his duties and is ever willing to go beyond the call of work in order to maintain the reputation for service excellence that Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur has always pride itself on,” said Shirley Lai, General Manager of Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur.
“As much as I like helping people, I also enjoy the challenge when it comes to solving problems that a guest has encountered,” said a delighted Jamian whom also won the same award for year 2010. Sharing his recipes of winning the award, he believes that “Service comes from the heart.You must have a passion for it, in order to be able to deliver good service to all your guests. Great customer service is when you take the time to listen to their concerns by genuinely expressing interest, sympathy, and your eagerness to satisfy them.”
Department Star Awards consist of five different awards for outstanding employee in the respective department who have displayed tremendous improvement and has become role model at the workplace. This year, there were about 104 nominees from 22 hotels, of which 27 nominees qualified for the finals. Of this, Fraser Place has four finalists in four categories through Kamaruddin Ali (Client Relations Executive), in Front Office category; Jamian Saiman (Security Supervisor) and Yahya Sinong (Technician) in the Support Services category and Zuleikha Kamaruddin (Housekeeping Attendant) in the Housekeeping category.
