AMCHAM Roundtable Discussion with Francisco J. Sánchez
Francisco J. Sánchez, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration met up with AMCHAM members during a roundtable discussion hosted by PricewaterhouseCoopers on May 21st, 2012. Mr Sánchez provided an overview on the American Business Community Issues, US-Malaysia Bilateral Trade Issues.

Together with Matt Ingeri, Deputy Economic Counselor of the US Embassy of Kuala Lumpur who just had returned from a trip to the US to attend the TPP negotiations in Dallas, the Under secretary provided an update on the Trans- Pacific Partnership negotiation status. The Dallas round was a very successful round according to Ingeneri and the nine TPP countries are continuously working on bringing the 21st century free trade agreement to a success.
Because of the increasing interest for TPP from the AMCHAM member companies we will organize 2 members only TPP briefings from the US Embassy and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in respectively June and July 2012.
